A native of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Josh Alquist eventually found his way to Phoenix, arriving in 2007. As a former client employee served by Greg Bennett, he has a unique perspective, having experienced Employee Support first as client employee, and later from the inside, as a StrongerLife Coach. In early 2022, Josh accepted his current role for StrongerWork as Vice President of Development & Client Relations.

An Army veteran, Josh served over 13 years in the Army National Guard, rising to the rank of Platoon Sergeant as an Army Engineer. He was stationed on the US/Mexico border for two years as part of an Anti-Drug & Human Trafficking Task Force. He also deployed to Afghanistan in 2012 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, where he led a platoon of construction engineers "outside the wire" and in combat environments.

After the military, Josh worked at StormWind Studios, a technology SaaS company located in Scottsdale, Arizona. During Josh's tenure as Senior Vice President of Sales, he oversaw a 25+ person sales team. He played an active role as the organization scaled from a start-up to a $25M ARR business and premier edu-tech provider in the Information Systems/Cyber Security industry.

With his leadership background in both the military and civilian realms, Josh has put his comprehensive experience to effective use at StrongerWork. A huge advocate for helping people grow, he has actively trained, developed, and mentored hundreds of individuals during his career. He is passionate about helping people work through challenges, find joy, and reach their highest potential. Josh also has an insider's perspective regarding the challenges veterans face, pertaining to their experiences in combat as well as their transition into civilian life following their service.

Josh is married and has a two year old daughter. When he's not working, he enjoys taking weekend trips with his family to interesting and fun places around Arizona, as well as traveling abroad. He's also a degenerate Packers fan who annually gets his heart shredded to pieces watching the team implode in the playoffs. Thankfully, his coworkers at StrongerWork are able to help Josh muster the courage to carry on, with hope for the next season.
